We have new teachers in our review class since Ate Joan is back in her true job. Kuya Exy, our science teacher. Hmm.. pleasing personality. Promise. He has a good look but, there's something wrong. haha! Here comes the certified-shsian-attitude. Haha! Amp, barok eh! Haha ;) And then he HASH A PROBLEM. THE WAY HE PRONOUNSHES THE LETTER ESH AND SHI. hahaha! ;) But all in all, he is a good teacher though. Our teacher in Math, ate Jhecca. She can't teach.. okay. She has the brains, but she's not born to be a teacher. I'm having problems with her, or should i say.. WE. Ate Joan, bumalik ka na, please. Baka dahil sa pag-alis mo, di na ako makakapasa sa UP. Ate Joan. Huhu.

It's winter here in the Philippines. Snow and snowflakes all around. Haha. Dream on! It's terribly cold, I swear. And I forgot my jacket. We had review classes a while ago. Science was fun but complicated. Since we haven't taken up Physics in school, I had a hard time in understanding the lesson, but it was fun though, and I just realized after Science period, it is not that complicated at all. Haha. ;) We had our break about 3.30 until 4 because we started our Science at around 1.30 ;) Haha! Yess, kuya exy + ate jhecca = secret lovers. Haha! ;) After break, we had our quiz in Math. yeyy, I got a 19 out of 20. Nice one cha! Haha ;) Math really is my most favorite subject. :D Then after quiz, ate shane told us that Ate Jhecca will no longer be our proctor. We had someone new, kuya Carl, a bassist. Cool! Haha. His voice was OHHH SOOOO LOWWWW. hahaha! so low that gem and i can't help our laughs the whole period. Math with him is surely fun compared to ate jhecca. But nothing compares with Ate Joan. Really.
Ahhhhhh! Ginebra won. Ginebra won. Ginebra won. :D I thought I won't have the chance to watch it. I was at gem's at that time for some reasons. Hehe ;) HATS OFF! ;)
NEVER-SAY-DIE KINGS UPSET RELOADED PHONE PALS
Caguioa erupts for season-high 42 big points
Friday, 12 May 2006
KNOWN for his defensive philosophy, coach Derick Pumaren allowed his Talk N Text Phone Pals to engage the Barangay Ginebra Kings in a freewheeling, high-octane game.
The end result had them paying dearly for it. Mark Caguioa and the undermanned Kings torched the
Caguioa came a point shy of matching his career-best with 42 points on 15-of-30 shooting from the field, Jayjay Helterbrand added 21 while Mark Macapagal, originally drafted by the Pals, scored a career-high 16 points behind an impressive 4-of-5 norm from three-point range.
Together, the hot-shooting hands of the three came through in the clutch and bailed the Kings out of a 10-point fourth quarter deficit on the way to notching their second straight win and an even 6-6 record overall.
"How lucky I am to coach a bunch of guys who doesn't want to give up," said a teary-eyed Ginebra coach Siot Tanquingcen, who joined his Kings in a fit of celebration at mid-court shortly after the team’s hard-earned win.
Behind the 39 points of Caguioa, the Kings also turned back the Phone Pals, 98-81, in their first encounter in the classification phase last March 8.
But without four of Ginebra’s key players and Talk N Text parading a roster that got even stronger following the acquisition of hotshot RenRen Ritualo and Don Allado,
It appeared to be that way at least until midway in the fourth quarter when an Allado basket off an offensive rebound gave the Pals a 108-103 lead.
Then came the big Ginebra surge.
Caguioa, who fired 20 of his total output in the third period, scored on a layup, Helterbrand added another basket before Macapagal buried a three to put the Kings in front for good, 110-108.
The Kings were not finished yet.
From there, they went on a 12-8 run, capped by another Macapagal three-pointer to make it a six-point Ginebra lead with 20 seconds to go.
The Pals cut the deficit to 121-122 on a tip-in by Allado but Helterbrand sealed the win for the Kings with two free throws in the final three seconds.
In his first game since being acquired by the team from Air21, Ritualo led the Pals with 24 points while Asi Taulava had 20 and 15 rebounds in an off the bench role.
Curiously, the 6-foot-9 former league MVP sat out the final two minutes of
the game and the Pals trailing by just a point, 115-116.
In all, it was Talk N Text’s fourth straight setback for a 5-8 record.
Pumaren experimented with his powerhouse lineup, striking out Taulava in the starting unit and inserting the La Salle trio of Allado, Mac Cardona and Ritualo to work with Jimmy Alapag and Harvey Carvey.
The ploy backfired as the Pals found themselves trailing early on 22-9.
But once they settled and regained their bearing, the Pals took control of the game.
They finished the first half on top, 62-56, by connecting a high 59 percent from the floor while overpowering the smaller Kings off the boards, 24-17. (GR)
